Ways to Get Involved for Alumni
Are you a Rutgers-Camden alum from a STEM program? Volunteer with the Institute for Empowering Equitable Education in STEM to mentor undergraduate students and give back to the RUC STEM community.
YOUR INVOLVEMENT MAKES A REAL DIFFERENCE
Serving as an alumni volunteer or mentor will connect you with undergraduate STEM students and invite you to share your professional journey, career experience, and industry advice. As a mentor, you have the opportunity to support the growth of and offer encouragement to emerging scholars, shaping their professional futures. In return, you will build your interpersonal skills, expand your professional network, and advance your leadership skills. Give back to the Rutgers-Camden community in a way that will leave a mark for years to come.

Ways
to Get Involved

Become a Professional Mentor
The E3-STEM Institute is committed to providing our students with various forms of mentorship, including peer-to-peer, student-to-faculty, and current student-to-alumni. Alumni and professional mentors can share their expertise and career journeys with students, becoming role models for students to look up to. Students can connect with you to ask career-related questions, seek your advice on career paths, and gain insight into different career options.
Interested in becoming a professional mentor? Connect with the E3-STEM Institute, who will connect you with an E3-STEM Student Leader(s) who has shared an interest in your career field. You will be able to establish your preferred means of contact and discuss your correspondence availability with your student mentee(s). If interested in becoming a career mentor and strengthening your professional skills, reach out to the E3-STEM Team at e3_stem@camden.rutgers.edu! Please include “Alum Involvement – Professional Mentor” in the subject line of your email.
Additionally, alumni can join the Student-Alumni Career Connect (SACC) platform, a new professional networking and mentoring platform for Rutgers alumni and students. Alumni can expand their professional network by connecting with fellow alum while also mentoring current students by sharing their career experiences. If interesting in joining this platform, check out the Rutgers-Camden Career Center’s page here.
